SAVILE CUP CONTEST. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) FEILDING, Thursday. The Savile Cup polo tournament was advanced another stage to-day, when Hawke’s Bay A met the new Peilding Club. Hawke’s Bay had a runaway victory, winning by 24 goals to 1 . In the second match, Rangitikei A met Hawke’s Bay B. This proved a much more evenly contested game, -being both fast and interesting. Eor a young team, Hawke’s Bay B put up a good fight against the veterans, but tired towards the finish. Rangitikei eventually won by 11 goals to 2. To-morrow, Feilding play Rangitikei B and Rangitikei A meet Hawke’s Bay B, these being handicap matches. The Savile Cup final will be played on Saturday, when Rangitikei A meet Hawke’s Bay A.
