Daysli said that it wms imperative that they should support the I ticket to get satisfactory representation. , Mr J. P. Petersen complained that outside suppliers in districts such as Nireaha, and other outer parts of the Eketahuna district, did not have enough information. All they got was through the newspapers. Mr C. Reid said that Mr lorns and the other men on the ticket had been .connected with the movement since its inception, and it was up to every dairymail to record his vote in favour of the men who had done the spade-work in getting the legislation on the Statute Book. He moved: “That this meeting, representative of the Wairarapa Farmers’ Union, after careful consideration, recommends this Union and dairy farmers to support the ticket.” Mr Galyer seconded the motion, which was carried.

The following motion was also passed: “That with regard to other nominations this -Executive calls attention to the fact that men who travelled throughout the country opposing the Bill have been nominated for the Board. ’ ’ FARMERS’ MEETING. Yesterday afternoon a meeting of farmers, at which there were about 30 present, representing the Wairarapa and Bush districts, met to discuss the nomination to the Dairy Control Board. Mr G. H. Galyer presided. The chairman briefly explained the objects of the meeting, and then Mr W. A. lorns gave an address similar to that delivered by him at the Farmers’ Union Executive meeting in the morning. Mr J. C. Ewington said that the dairy farmers had no option but to support the ticket. He felt sure that the meeting would endorse the Dairy Council’s ticket, and he moved that the resolution of the meeting of the executive of the morning be endorsed, emphasising the fact that they were supporting the ticket nominated by the Dairy Council. Unfortunately, at its last meeting the Masterton Dairy Company directors did not pass a resolution urging the suppliers to support the ticket, but he unhesitatingly recommended them to do so.

Mr G. E. Sykes, M.P., congratulated the dairymen for standing almost whole heartedly bv the Bill in the reecn: ballot.

The following motion was carried unanimously: “That this meeting of dairy farmers, representing Wairarapa and Bush districts, after carefully considering the nominations for the Dairy Control Board, endorses the candidature of the Dairy Council ticket, namely, Messrs Goodfellow, W. Grounds, 11. D. Forsyth, K. Dalrymple, W. A. lorns and W. C. Motion, and urges the dairy farmers to vote for these gentlemen; aud also pledges itself to do all in its power to secure their election.”

SOUTH ISLAND TICKET. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. With regard to the report that Messrs Thacker, Lee and Hamilton were the South Island ticket, Mr Thacker (Okains Bay) says: “I have never been approached and know of no organisation which has made the above recommendation. The conference in Wellington consisting of the N.Z. Farmers’ Union, the Dairy Council, and the Dairy Farmers ’ Union, decided to recommend Mr F. Waite (Otago), Mr J. Fislier (Southland) and myself as the South Island ticket. I am standing by that decision, and strongly urge all dairy producers to do likewise.’’
