SALVATION ARMY.

CHILDREN’S CONCERT. A children’s concert was given at the Salvation Army Hall on Monday night. After a song, four quaintly attired Chinese sang a catchy melody. A song by the primary tots had to be repeated. Recitations by Eileen Greenwood, Gladys Bolton, Dennis Fairbrother and a duet by Daphne Horsley and Eva Adams found a sympathetic audience. The bible class girls’ dialogue "Sunshine and Shadow” was an inspiration to live in the sunshine. The cantata, "Soot and the Fairies” brought forth hearty commendation. "God wants the Boys,” by the united children’s choir brought to a fitting finale ono of the most enjoyable programmes given for a long time. A valuables lot of prizes were then distributed by Major Miles.
