COSY THEATRE. Betty Balfour, who will be remembered in "Squibs,” now offers us the sequel. "Squibs Win the Calcutta Sweep,” in which she acts as ( a London flower girl, whose life is suddenly brightened by the wheel of fortune turning in her favour. She helps those of her sisters who have known the misfortunes of London streets. The pictures strikes a comedy note, but behind it all there is a tragedy that will find a response in the hearts of all picture lovers. OPERA HOUSE. Theatregoers who have made a favourite of Eodolph Valentino, the handsome young Italian screen actor, appearing at the Opera House to-night in support of Mae Murray in ‘ ‘ The Delicious Little Devil,’ have probably recognised him as the popular dancer who formerly acted as partner for the graceful Joan Sawyer. As Miss Sawyer’s team mate, Mr Valentino became a social favourite throughout the east, appearing in the New York theatres and dancing palaces. The plot of this attraction is vivid throughout, and concerns in the main the rise of a little slum girl. Seats may be reserved at Henderson’s.
