FIRE AT AUCKLAND.

FAMILY’S NARROW ESCAPE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) : AUCKLAND, Tuesday. Fire destroyed a five-roomed house at Takapuna, owned by Mrs. Riff kin, and occupied by Mr. McCarole and family. Mr. and Mrs. McCarole and three children got out with ' nothing but their night-clothes. The house was insured for £750 in the Northern Assurance Office, and the furniture for £750 in the Australian Provincial Office and £4OO in the Northern Office.
