DOCKERS’ STRIKE. A DISORDERLY MEETING. Press Association —Electric Telegraph— Copyrig (Received Tuesday, '8.45 a.m.) LONDON, Monday. A meeting of transporters at Hull broke up in disorder. Mr. Ben Smith, was subjected to continual interruption when he argued that the dockers’ agreement, whether good or bad, must run to the end of the year.
The meeting passed a resolution in favour of a policy of unofficial strike, adding that the men were willing to return to work for 11s a day, if an inquiry into the cost of living were conceded.—Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.

The transport workers’ conference rejected an amendment asking for the support of the dock strikers aud adopted a motion requesting the strikers to resume work. —Aus. and N.Z. It is understood that tbe coalminers have decided not to give the owners the right to dismiss the men proposed by the Oakes conference which will resume to-morrow, but a deadlock is anticipated on this issue.—-Press Assn.
