An Association football match was played at Masterton on Saturday afternoon, between the Wellington Watersiders team and Wairarapa. A good display of the Association code was given, but the visitors were much too superior for the home team. The Water - siders played very clever football, their footwork and passing being especially neat. At half time the visitors led by four goals to one. The final score was: Wellington Watersiders, seven goals, Wairarapa, two. Howie (3), Palmer (2), Cusack and Bell scored for the winners, and Tracy (2) for the losers. A smoke concert was held in the evening.
