RAILWAY FATALITY.

AT PEATHERSTON STATION. YOUNG LADY. DIES FROM INJURIES. Miss Kathleen Lyons, aged 27, formerly of Carterton, but now employed in Wellington, was fatally injured at the Featherston railway station last evening' while attempting to board a race train which was in motion. She missed her footing and fell under the train, several wheels passing, over both legs, one being broken and the other badly crushed.

The injured lady was conveyed to the Grey town Hospital, where she died at 10 o’clock.

Miss Lyons is a sister of Mrs P. G. Shirley, of Carterton.
