BANKRUPT IN TROUBLE. , (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Thursday. -Percy William Douglas, a bankrupt auctioneer, appeared at the police court to-day on nine charges of having fraudulently converted to his own -use sums totalling £407 18s 9d, the balance of the proceeds of the property sold by him. In a statement,to a detective, accused admitted having received the money and not having paid amounts to various clients. Accused pleaded not guilty reserved his defence,.-and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial.
