THE SEASON CLOSED. At a meeting of the management committee of the Wairarapa Cricket Association lats night it was decided to close the season, as ibotfi the' senior and junior competitions had been decided. . Following is the final position ox the teams: — SENIORS.
JUNIORS.
JUNIOR. REPS. Tlie following have been selected to take part in a match against a senior team on Saturday at the Memorial Park, at 2 p.m.:—Dohnt, Burt, Beach (Featherston), Bannin. Whitburn (Carterton), Miller, Reeves, J. Robson (United), Beard, Wilson, Dennis, Scrimgeour (Greytown),. Parker (Waingawa). The final selection of the team to visit Palmerston North at Easter will be made after the matt#. The senior team to play- the juniors will be as follows:—Hoar (2), Renner, Gibbons, Gallon, Phelps, O’Dowd, Hallam, Uttlcy, Logan, Voyce. Any player not available please let Mr E. Freeman know at once.
A WINDFALL. SYDNEY, Wednesday.. At a meeting of the Cricket Association the treasurer reported that the net proceeds of the match between MacLaren’3 team and New South Wales amounted to £921, of ’which sum approximately £7OO would go to the New Zealand Cricket Council.—Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.
