PARENTS’ POSITION. NO AMENDING BILL AT PRESENT. Recently Mr Tennent, secretary of the Masterton High School Board, wrote to the Education Department, asking whether there was, any prospect of obtaining amending legislation this session providing for the election of members of the Board by parents of prospective pupils. ; The secretary of the Education Department has replied to Mr Tennent that at present there is no intention to pass an amending Education Bill.
