ALFREDTON v. BIDEFORD. Tho first of the matches for the Whare-koa” Cup took place on the Alfredton Domain, Alfredton defeating Bicleford by 48 runs. Alfredton scored 136 and Bideford 88. Dunderdalo made a nice 48 for Bideford. Scott Raleigh (43), Purvis Hay (27) and V. L. Fairbrother (23) were the only Alfredton men to get runs. Purvis Hays 27 deserves mention, because he has not played for many years, and yet made his runs without a mistake when they were needed badly.
