BOARDING HOUSE FIRE.

EXTENSIVE DAMAGE DONE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) TIMARU, This Day. Early this morning the Fire Brigade was called to Waiti road, where Holmwood House, owned by E. R. Guinness, and occupied by Mrs. Lord as a boarding house was found to be in flames. The brigade worked for 21 hours before tho flames were extinguished, but not before extensive damage was done.

The fire apparently started in the kitchen.

All the inmates escaped safely. The building whoch contained twelve yooms, was an old wooden structure.
