THE REPARATIONS.
GERMAN PAYMENTS. PARIS, Wednesday. The Reparations Commission’s report up to December 31st states that Germany had paid the Allies on account of reparations 6487 million gold marks (approximately £317,000,000), -exclusive of machinery and cattle which have been restored. The Temps comments that if the payments made for the cost of armies oi occupation be included (? excluded), the German payments in cash and kind and the cession of State property total 1140 million gold marks (approximately £56,000,000).— Aus. and N.Z.
