March 6th.—-Shade temperature: Maximum 64.6, minimum 40.4, terrestrial 30.6, frost I.4deg., bright sun-' shine lOhrs 15miu. SOLWAY RAINFALL. Mr H. M. Boddington reports tliafi rain fell on'. 11 days in February, tin* maximum fall being 28 points on the) 4th, the minimum 1 point, on the 20thn and 22nd insts. ■The total for the month was 1.57, as against 1.70 (1921), 4.31 (1920), 2.67 (1919), 2.19 (1918), 4.48 (1917). The* rainfall for the two months is 6.59, as compared with 4.11 (1921), 7.43 (1920), 4.84 (1919), 4.25 (1918), 4.25 (1917). * The Rev. D. C. Bates reports for tha twenty-four hours from 9 a.m. this day as efollows: — The indications are for southerly winds, moderate to strong. Weather probably cool and changeable. The barometer has a rising tendency.
