MURDERER’S FAST
HANGED WHILE UNCONSCIOUS. NEW YORK, Saturday. At Chicago, Harvey Church was too weak to stand after a l'orty-three days’ fast,land was hanged while strapped to a chair. Immediately following the sentence for murdering two motor car salesmen to obtain the motor car, Church lay on hie cot and refused to talk or eat. Physicians declared that lie finally succeeded in hypnotising himself into unconsciousness. Forcible feeding kept him alive until the day of execution.
