Sir, —As a subscriber to the nefld street known as Jaekson Street, I a™ curious to know when i,t will be joined up with Queen Street. lam well aware tJiat there is now a thoroughfare through it, but the jjresent appearanceas viewed from Queen Street does not reflect much credit to our civic fathers. It is generally understood that the xhop a t the Chapel street end is the cause of the delay, and was to have been removed at end of January ms!, when the lease was up. Has an extension of this lease been granted/ If not why this delay? I trust our worth v Council will now wake up a nd get this much-needed work completed.—l am etc., * “CITIZEN.*’
