EKETAHUNA STOCK SALE.
The Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Association, Ltd., Stock Department, report on their Eketahuna stock sale, which was held in miserable weather yesterday:—We hal a small yarding of cattle. The sheep advertised did not come in. Bidding was lifeless. We quote: —Empty cows, £0 16s, £6 15s, £5 12s 6d, £4 2s 6d; empty heifers, £7, £4 ss; dairy bulls, £7 15s; weauer pigs, 20s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on their Eketahuna sale yesterday: —Me had a small entry of cattle. No sheep were entered. The day was very wet and stormy, and very little competition resulted. Wo quote: —Dairy heifers, £l2 to £l6. No sale for late and backward sorts.
