MILITARY DEFAULTERS.

NO FURTHER PROSECUTIONS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. In the House of Representatives tonight Mr. Massey stated that at the last meeting of Cabinet it was decided that there should be no more prosecuions of conscientious objectors or military defaulters. He did not think there were any conscientious objectors in prison at the present time, and very few military defaulters. This decision would operate from the anniversary of Armistice Day, November 11th, but it would not affect those military defaulters who had failed to do their duty during war time, and wbo, in consequence, had been deprived of their civil rights. Replying to Mr. Witty, Me Massey said he understood there were still f number of military defaulters in hiding. They were the people who would bp s most affected by Cabinet’s decision.
