BAND CONCERT.

OPERA HOUSE—TO-MORROW. The Municipal Silver Band will give its annual honorary members’ concert in the Opera House to-morrow evening. The dress circle will be reserved for ticket holders, but the stalls will be available to others than members at 2s and Is. A first-class programme of selected band pieces interspersed with vocal and instrumental items has been arranged, and an entertaining musical evening is assured. Among other items the band will play, “A Night in Switzerland,” a very popular descrip-' five selection with echo effects cleverly manipulated from the wings, and the waltz, “Thoughts” which met with a very favourable reception ou a previous occasion, i Mr. Halliwell, an Auckland singer of considerable note, and new to the public of Masterton; Mr. F. E. Gooder, whose popularity has been established, and Mr. Build, also a favourite, will sing, the latter with Band accompaniment to “The Rosary'.” Mrs. Black, whose clever musical monologues are always so acceptable, together with Miss F. McKain, elocutionist, and Miss Reid, arc also on the programme, so that music lovers may look for a good evening. Mr. Ballatune, a Wellington violinist, whose playing has been described as a rare treat, will be heard to advantage.
