KNOX CHURCH.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of Knox Church was held in Knox Hall, Masterton, last evening. Rev. G. T. Brown, M.A., presided, and opened the meeting with devotional exercises. After the opening the chairman gave a short address, pointing out various ways in which individual members could assist the minister and officebearers in the carrying out of the various parts of the work of the. congregation. An interesting item was given by the children of the Busy Bees, under the direction of the Child Pastor, Miss Lois McGregor. This took the form of a chorus in costume, entitled “Maids of Japan.” The (Session Clerk (Mr. Edwin Feist) read the minutes of last annual meeting, which w r ere confirmed. The annual report and balnace .sheet were then adopted. A discussion on the financial report resulted in a motion to tho effect that the general question of church finajice be taken into consideration by the manager’s committee, to see- if a. better system could not be evolved and put into effect. A discussion took place upon various matters of interest to' the congregation. Other items were contributed as follows: Solos, Miss M. Ross and Mr. Budd; recitation, Miss Dimmock. After; supper, and the usual vote of thanks, the meeting was brought to a close by the singing of the Doxology, and the pronouncement of the Benediction.
