LADY CROQUET PLAYERS.

Crs. 'Watson and IlemiersQn stated that; members, of the Ladies’ Cl,ub had .approached them on the subject, it being desired that the Council provide a new croquet ground, as the present one was too small.
A suggestion was made that one of the tennis courts might be used as a croquet lawn, but this brought a protest from Cr. Burridge, who stated* that 'the popularity of tennis quite warranted the number of tennis courts at the Pa'rlj.’. ' . . . The' Council generally appeared to be sympathetic towards the request, and it was eventually decided, on the motion of Cr. Watson, seconded by, Cr. Henderson, that Crs. Candy, Henderson and Watson be a sub-committee to go into the matter and report to the.next meeting of the Council) • N ‘ |fA.
