LADY CROQUET PLAYERS.

'Watson and IlemiersQn stated that; members, of the Ladies’ Cl,ub had .approached them on the subject, it being desired that the Council provide a new croquet ground, as the present one was too small.

A suggestion was made that one of the tennis courts might be used as a croquet lawn, but this brought a protest from Cr. Burridge, who stated* that 'the popularity of tennis quite warranted the number of tennis courts at the Pa'rlj.’. ' . . . The' Council generally appeared to be sympathetic towards the request, and it was eventually decided, on the motion of Cr. Watson, seconded by, Cr. Henderson, that Crs.
