FOLLOWS A FIRE ON STEAMER, Press Association—Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received Monday, 9.J0 a.m.) LONDON, Sunday, Saltpetre aboard the liner Engineer, bound for Mauritus, ignited in LorenzoMarquis Harbour, East Africa. As the cargo also included carbide she was towed into midstream, where,, after a terrific explosion, she sank. There were no fatalities.
