LABOUR’S PROGRAMME.

The American Federation of Labour adjourned its annual convention after endorsing the principle of the League of Nations with reservations. Irish sympathisers opposed the endorsement of the League of Nations. Mr. Gompers is going to Washington to demand the incorporation of Labour’s programme into the Democratic platform. 'The programme includes the ratification of the Treaty, the curbing of profiteering, Government ownership of the railroads, abolition of the nreHistrikfci legislation, /the endorsement of the Irish Republic, advance in wages whertwer it is necessary to maintain the American standard of living, and a shorter working day to prevent unemplyoment. ’
