HOCKEY.
; EXCELSIOR CLUB. A meeting was held last evening of the Excelsior Hockey Club for the election of officers. Mr R, Hatch was in the chair. The following were proposed Patron. Mr A. U Major; president, Mr W. Dickson; vice-presidents, Messrs L. Nieol, J. L. Hughes, G. Havnc, H. P. Hugo and W. Hughes. A letter .was received from .the Masterton Trades and Labour. Council to support them in bringing about the universal Saturday-.half-holiday. It was decided to receive the letter and support the resolution. The meeting terminated with a hearty vote of thanks to the chair.
