JOCKEY'S DISPUTE.
A GISBORNE SEQUEL. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) GISBORNE, 'Wednesday. A sequel of the jockeys' dispute occurred on the Araluira in the roadstead this evening, when, as the result of action by the ship’s firemen, four riders who intended to take part in the Napier Park races—A. Alan son, B. Decry, E. Lowe and T. Close —with S. Kra'etzcr, a racecourse detective, were returned by tender to the wharf, the tender left the wharf with passengers, but previous to their departure the local manager of the Union Company warned the riders that they might have to return. On their arrival« at. the Araluira, the representatives of the. firemen informed those aboard the ship that, they would not sail with the jockeys and Kraotzor. The tar men were,"therefore, returned to tho wharf, and the vessel left for Napier at 9.10.
