LABOUR CONFERENCE.
STATE WOOLLEN MILLS FAVOURED. (By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received Saturday, 0.50 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Labour Conference decided that in view of the monopoly in the production and distribution of woollen gods, the State be requested to establish woollen mills, or, alternatively, empower municipalities to do so. It also instructed the Labour Party to repeal the soldiers’ preference legislation, as underlying a principle iniquitous and impracticable.
