COSY THEATRE. “BONDS OF HONOUR.” “Bonds of Honour” is a gripping, fast-moving tale of Japan, with a shift of scenes to Russia, of German treachery and Japanese honour. Sessile Hayakawa plays a double role, that of twin brothers, both diametrically opposed i» character one wayward, addicted to gambling aml other vices the other upright and worthy, _the soul of honour and courage. Thrilling in the extreme is the unwinding of Hie plot, which discloses the traitorous" behaviour of the evil-living-Imi-llier, leaving the vindication ot the family honour in the hands of his soldier brother. Hayakawa gives a remnrl cable portrayal of the dual role, showing" wonderful versatility. A particularly/ strong cast supports him, and the photography and settings are beautiful enough to deserve sped ill ipemion. The current chapter of “The Lightning Raider”’ and other supporting films are very good. There will be a matinee to-morrow afternoon. PARAMOUNT THEATRE. “A BURGLAR FOR A NIGHT.” “ A Biirglar for a Night” lifts the veil on capitalistic raids on American railroads, introduces a series of thrillling situations, and sees hearts trump the game. d.
