FARMERS' FIELD DAY.

IN WAIRARAPA DISTRICT. A meeting of the combined committees appointed by the Masterton A. ant P. Association ami the Wairarapa P. and A. Society to discuss the question of. holding farmers’ “field days’was held in Masterton yesterday afternoon. Mr H. Evans was in the chair, and timer were also present:-—Messrs A. H. Falloon and A. B. Wood (Masterton), and A. Clarke, E. Eagle and F. L. Allen (Wairarapa Society), and Mr L j,;. Ward, the Government Fields Instructor. After a general discussion it was moved by Mr Wood: “That a joint committee be set up to conduct experiments on selected areas throughout- the district, under the control of Mr I. L. Ward, the Government instructor, and each society be requested to recommend suitable farmers to carry out the- experiments.” This was unanimously carried. . „ , r It was edoided, on the motion ot Mr Eagle that Mr Ward interview the farmors selected to carry out the experiments, and report to the joint committee. i! It was also resolved that the Wairarapa P. and A. Society be asked to join Messrs W. Perry and E. Harper for the purpose of interviewing Captain Tillev ■regarding experimental work at the Penrose Training Farm. The deputation was also requested to confer in a similar manner with the manager of the Tauhcrenikau Training Farm. After a resolution of thanks to the Carterton delegates tor their assistance, the meeting closed.
