PRINCE OF WALES TOUR

The city is putting the final touches on the preparations, and a most extensive and varied programme will fully fill the Prince’s time till he departs for New; South Wales. The-Renown is timed to enter Port Phillip at 7.30 o’clock on Wednesday morning. She will be met outside by destroyers and aeroplanes. The Prince is to land at St. Hilda at 2.30 o’eloik. The landing will be followed by a procession through the principal streets to the Federal Government House, various functions taking place en route. The fleet and the city will be illuminated at night, •A conflict of opinion occurred between the Federal Houses as to which takes precedence in presenting the addresses of welcome. The House adopted the address, but the Senate adjourned without taking any action. A UNIQUE IDEA. . ■ .
