LACK OF UNIFORMITY.
IN AWARDING GRADING MARKS. (By Telegraph-—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Sunday. The Otago Institute brought before the Hon. C. J. Parr the lack of uniformity among inspectors in awarding teachers marks under the grading system. 'The Minister admitted that the figures submitted to him w-ore significant. He could not. say what steps he would take, but he would certainly take some steps at at an early date, w'ith a view of getting representations made. They might take the shape of a conference, or perhaps of setting up an expert committee to advise him, with a view to mastering the discrepancies.
