THE EFFECTS OF "BOOZE."
HARD-EARNED MONEY WASTED,
. Thomas Campbell, for having been found drunk on Bennett's Hill, Taueru road, on Tuesday, appeared in the dock at the Ma,sterton Police Court this morning before Mr S. L. P. Free, S.M.
Sergeant Miller said Campbell had come in from bush work last month with a cheque for £82. He put £50 in the bank, and had been drawing this out in sums of about £5, and taking trips to 'Carterton. He was convicted there of breaking a window. On Tuesday last accused was found, quite naked, on the roadside, practically in the "D.T.V , Uampbell now had only £2 to come and go on. The accused was now all right again. Accused was fined ss, and ordered to poy 15s motor car expenses.
