DARWIN, This Day

A Commission has commenced the. hearing of the evidence in the charges against Judge Bevan, Carey and Gilruth, that they were all interested in a miue at Daley River, of which a lease was granted by Dr. Gilrtfth, and that the land at Daley River was demanded for Bevan and Gilruth, who were the real owners, that they shook the confidence of the people of the territory to such an extent as to cause tho recent trouble

Dr. Gilruth and Carey were also charged with being prepared to give improper consideration to the firm of Vesteys to enable them to. sell the meat works to the Government.
