LATE FATHER LEWIS.
SOLEMN REQUIEM MASS.
AT ST. PATRICK'S CHURCH.
This morning, at St. Patrick's Church, a solemn requiem mass was -euzig for the repose of the soul of the ;iatc Rev: Father Lewis, who 'died on .November 25th, 1918, at Featherston fiainp, after nobly attending to the Ifooys suffering from the epidemic The mass was sung by the Ecv. Father Phelan, assisted by Father Conolly as deacon, and Father McLoughlan as .sob-deacon. Rev. Father Broughton act-, .sdtts master of ceremonies.

Fa•tner Sanderson (Mannia), Rev. Father 'Connolly (Kilbirnie), Rev. Father Dig--nan, S.M. (Hill street, Wellington), ftev. Father Mangan, C.S.S.R. (St. GerraxiFs'' Monastery, Wellington), Rev. Father Quealy : (Pctone), Rev. Fafher ' I'itzgsObon (Lower Hi.nl), Rev. Father ''Fhelan. (Carterton), and Rev. Father (Masterton). At the conclusion of mass the Dead March in Saul was played, Mrs A. R. .Bunny presiding at the organ. After the ceremony in the church, tae clergy proceeded to the cemetery, where the monument erected by the -.parishioners of the Masterton parish to She memory of t;he deceased priest was by Monsignor MeKenaa.
