There Avas a. big yarding of all classes at Addington market to-day. Prices were down for practically all stock. Fat cattle penned totalled 525, about double ordinary supply and the drop was from £3 to £4 per head. Fat sheep Avere down from 3s to ..<. s per head, the market being a very erratic one. The decreased demand by butchers is due to the giwing use of frozen mutton and the late high '• prices are not likely to recur. There Avas'aii entry of 288 fat lambs as compared Avith 603 at last sale. The demand remained firm. Best prime lambs 395, prime 36s 6d, medium 30s ; light 25s 7d. Fat Sheep.—Eight races pore penned which Avould be about sufficient under ordinary circumstances for the week's requirements. Extra prime Avethers to 26s 3il, prime Avethers to 26s 3d, prime Avethers 51s to 5Ss 3d, medium 42s 6d to 50s, lighter 27s to 38s 6d;_ extra prime ewes 58s, prime 46s to 54s Id, medium 39s 6d to 43s 9d; lighter 26s to 36s 3d; prime hoggets 41s, lighter 34s 6d. There Avas a yarding of 525 fat cattle Extra, prime steers to £39; prime steers £117 to £30; ordinary £8 to £1.6 10s; prime heifers £13 to £19 15s; ordinary, £8 2s 6d to £12; i, prime cows, £12 to £19 10s, ordinary £8 to £11 10s. Store Cattle.—There Avas a big yarding of very mixed quality and a. drop 'Three-year steers £9 12s 6d to £10 17s 6d; 2-J-yoar-old steers £9 15s; mixed-sex two-year-olds, £7 17s 6d; dry coavs, £5 7s 6d to _S ss. Dairy Cattle.—A large yarding of mixed quality Avas penned. Second and third ealvers to £16 10s; coavs in milk £10; heifers £6 5s to £13 ss; good veal calves Avere in very small supply. Runners up to £8; good vcalers, £5 2s 6d; fair, 525; small and inferior ss. to 10s. Store Sheep. —TAVO-tooth cavos, shorn, 27s 9d, four, six and eight-tooth OAves 30s to 34s 9d, shorn 28s Id, with lambs and in avool 20s to 23s lid (all. counted); two-tooth owes and Avethers shorn 21s, two-tooth Avethers shorn 13s lid to 255; four a nd six-tooth wethers 35s to 455 : shorn 2Ss to 31s 9d; ewe hoggets 22s to 375; mixed-sex hoggets 22s to 37j; mixed sex hoggets 26 s 3d to 375, wether hoggets, 29s to 38s.
