IMMIGRATION OF WOMEN WORKERS.
BRITISH GOVERNMENT REPRE-
SENTATIVES,
NOW IN MASTERTON,
Two representatives of the British Government, Miss Girdler and Mi-3S Watkins, are visiting the Dominion f>" the purpose of enquiring as to the possibilities of employment for women in New Zealand. If satisfactory arrangements can be made, the British Govern ment is prepared to arrange free passages for such women as can })o employed in farming, industrial :<r <".'•«- ---mercial pursuits. Miss Girdler and Miss Watkins are staying at the Club Hotel, and-will l>o pleased to receive anyone interest 3d in their missions, so as to ascertain the various requirements of the district. The ladies proceed to Napier by the mid-day train on Saturday.
