LONDON, Wednesday.

The biggest highway robbery during recent years occurred in North-West Cork.

Masked thieves wearing clothes inside out and bags tied over their boots, held up two bank managers going to a fair and robbed them of £18,000. '

The managers were armed with revolvers but were gagged and tied up to the wheel of a cart while the highwaymen emptied the moneybags and escaped.
