SOVIETS AND AMERICA.

The commercial attache, Heller, of the self-styled Soviet Embassy, has announced that ho has been negotiating with -. large packers and manufacturers, Ms purpose being to urge the Government to recognise the Soviet Government and permit the expectations, of foodstuff*-' and manufactures to Russia. :'
Heller said that the Soviets, .were to send £40,000,000 in gold to the Unit-: ed States in order to secure credits.
■ He added that unless the United Statestakes advantage of the Russian trade opportunities, Japan and Gremany will secure them.
