The local branch, of the Acclimatisation Society have determined to put down poaching, and the ranger is out after those who adopt illegal methods of catching trout or fish without a license. The despicable methods of these "fish thieves" are , to be. condemned, and it is hoped that the society, in its present campaign, will be able to round up transgressors.
