AUTUMN AND WINTER FASHIONS.
So far as costume coats are concerned, fashion was, in the early months of 1919, in something of a tangle . But gradually the 1919 coat has emerged, and it proves to be, with variations, a fairly dose approximation to a man's lounge or reefer. This is bo almost always in hang and general style, and sometimes it is an exact reproduction even to the placement of seams, style of collar and shape of pockets. Witii this coat goes either a plain narrow skirt or a pleated one. So far as materials are concerned, cheeks and plaids seem to remain exceedingly popular. The waistcoat is still very much in evidence, but will be eclipsed by the advent of cold weather. Thoughts of autumn and winter naturally bring consideration of overgarments, and new season's models show one predominating feature,- the collar colossal. Large patch pockets and belts of
varying sizes and methods of fastening will be very much worn. Blue and grey serges aud gabardines are still popular for all classes of costumes. Donald"c Ladies' Tailoring Establish-ment at 44 Queen Street i&s still in hand an excellent variety of these superior cloths, and a call is solicited. —Alex. Donald, 44 Queen Street,
