AUTUMN AND WINTER FASHIONS. So far as costume coats are concerned, fashion was, in the early months of 1919, in something of a tangle . But gradually the 1919 coat has emerged, and it proves to bo, with variations, a fairly close approximation to a man's lounge or reefer. This is so almost always in hang and general style, and sometimes it is an exact reproduction ovon to tho placement of seams, stylo | of collar and ahape of pockets. With this coat goes either a plain narrow skirt or a pleated one. So far aa materialß are concerned, checks and plaids seem to remain exceedingly popular. The waistcoat is still very much in evidence, but will bo eclipsed by the advent of cold weather. Thoughts of autumn and winter naturally bring consideration of overgarments, and new season 'a models show ono predominating feature, the collar colossal. Largo patoh pockets and belts of varying siaes and methods of fastening will be very much worn. Blue and grey serges and gabardines are still popular for all classes of costumes. Donald fa Tailoring Establishment at 44 Queen Street has still in hand an oxcellent variety of these superior cloths, and a call ia eolieited. —Alex. Donald, 44 Queen Street
