YOUNG WOMAN IN TROUBLE

A SERIOUS OFFENCE,

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Wednesday.

At the Police Court to-day, a young woman named Mary Ellen Reid pleaded guilty to threo ehargee of making false documents by making material additions to her Post Offico Savings Bank book with tho Intention that they should bo acted upon as genuine. The evidence for tho prosocution showed that the accused received various sums of money on behalf of a Mrs Logan for deposit, in the Savings Bank. Tho total was about £158. The money has not been deposited.

Accused was committed to the Sup reme Court for sentence.
