Deputy Bevions caused a sensation in Parliament by reading a secret memorandum of the Jugo-Slavs to President Wilson in May, 1918, urging an attack on the Austrian naval ports by the Allies, excluding Italy, and also urging America to refuse financial and commercial help to Italy.
