ANNUAL MEETING

The annual meeting of the Masterton branch of the Protestant Political Association was held in the Municipal Buildings last night. There was a large attendance, and Mr Alex. Donald occupied the chair.

The report, and balancesheet submitted showed a healthy condition so far as finance was concerned, and marked progress in the membership. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: —President, Mr W. Kemp; vice-presidents, Messrs J. Beynolds and C. H. Anderson; secretary, Mr A. J. Williams; treasurer, Mr H.* Nicholson; auditor, Mr B. Williams; general committee, Messrs Chas. Johnson, T. Jones, McCarrison, Black, Zillwood, Murray J. H. Jackson, Price, Hendry, and Mesdames Bive, Maitland, Williams, Kitchener, Joy and Coe.

Addresses wore .given by Major McNaught (Divisional Organiser) and Eev Howard Elliott (National Lecturer), covering the work and prospects of the organisation in the political spluue of the Dominion, and emphasising the wisdom of creating a definite Protestant Party to fight tho elections.
