WAIRARAPA SOLDIERS' MEMORIAL. Sports Ground. (To be Begistered under tho Incorporated Societies , Act, 1908). COMMITTEE Representative of the SBOWS& BODIES IN WATEAEAPA have acquired, for the purposes of ft SPORTS GROUND, 12£ acres of the OLD SHOWGROUNDS, comprising the playing area and the high ground forming a natural grandstand, as a lasting Memorial to Fallen Wairaxapa Soldiers. The Ground will provide a good £-miie Track, at least two Football grounds, and an excellent Cricket Ground. The sum of £5000 Is required to complete the Purchase, Fence, Plant, Improve and Lay-out the Grounds. Also to erect Suitable buildings and Memorial Tablet. This interests all persons concerned in the welfare of the Young Generation of Wairaxapa. What more lasting, useful or appropriate Memorial could be provided for our Fallen Heroes, all of whom have been the Empire's Sportsmen. iLet us play the game and provide the Memorial for their Children. The Sportsmen will provide the income to keep the grounds in order. The Public are asked to provide the Capital (£5000) required.
