SEROUS ACCIDENT.

PLUMBER BADLY INJURED

(By Telegraph-—Press Association.) >^ WOODVILLE, This Day. A serious accident occurred at the railway crossing this morning, whil© the 7.45 train from Palmerston was approaching the station. Mr T f, Hopper, a plumber, on a motor cycle and side-car, collided with the second carriage of the train.

Hopper was thrown from the machine, and the carriage wheels passed over his left arm, crushing it and severing the hand. His skull was also fractured.

Hopper was conveyed to the Pahiatua Hospital. The patient remains in a low state, and is suffering severely from shock,
