INCREASED MOBILISATION
(Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) WASHINGTON, Tuesday. Tho Secretary for War (Mr Newton D. Baker) intends to ask Congress for a. large military mobilisation, in order to increase tho'Unitcd States forces in Europe. U-BOAT OFF AMERICAN COAST.
WASHINGTON, Tuesday
It is announced that a U-boat is operating off the Massachusetts coast. Three barges were shelled and a tug set on fire.
