DR THACKER WANTS ROYAL COMMISSION.
CHRISTCHUECH, Friday. Pr Thacker has addressed a letter to tho Premier, asking the Government to set up a Royal Commission to take evidence as 1 to the methods and complaints thereon of Medical Boards , examinations of reservists and the medical treatment of soldiers in camp and on leave, and their treatment when given extended leave without pay. He says that absolutely impossible reservists are being sent into camp, retained a few days, and then given extended leave without pay. These men have still an uncertain military future, and this is an enormons waste of public money. Mr Massey says that the matter is one for the consideration of Cabinet.
