CRISIS IN RUSSIA.
REBELS LOSING POWER
(A. *nd N.Z.C.A. and Router.) LONDON, Monday. The Daily Chronicle'a Pctrogrivd correspondent'states that the Bolsheviks are no longer masters of the situation. They are hampered by insufficient reliable, moil. Important posts are entrusted to youths, with ludicrous results. The garrison contains many anxious for peace. Consequently there is" much dissension. On the other hand, the sailors are ■willing on the whole' to continue _the struggle against the .■Provisional Government. Some thousands have marched to 1 etroirrad to defend the Bolsheviks. The latter\s .military adherents have arrived, in hundreds. An inspection of the Winter Palace showed wanrou damage committed by tho Bolsheviks. Cupboards and drawers were forced, pictures slashed, and the ex-Czar's cabinet wrecked. Luckily the Provisional Government had safely stored the principal art treasures in cellars.
