THE RUSSIAN CRISIS.

The news to-day in regard to tho conditions in Russia again shows an improvement. There are, of course, some gloomy reports, but these como from sources which are utterly unreliable and which have no sympality with tho objects for which the revolution in Eussia was launched. Tho Petrograd correspondent of tho London Daily Chronicle gives a mixture of good and bad news. This correspondent in the past has been notoriously inaccurate in his statements, and has allowed his bias against the revolution to get the better of him. But this correspondent is even beginning to give us some good news. We aro not being flooded with messages from tho Northcliffe Press Gang, and this is a really good sign, for as soon as things appear to be going wrong this gang at once spreads broadcast the most gloomy reports imaginable. The news to-day indicates that the rebels are being crushed, and that Kerensky will again become master of the situation. At Petrograd there has been bitter fighting, in which Kerensky has triumphed. The imprisoned Cabinet Ministers have been released, with the exception of two, and the troops in Petrograd aro rallying to Kerensky's aid. Tho pro-Gorrnan revolution is doomed to failure. Lenin is reported to have been captured, and it is to be hoped that he will be given a short shrift.
